The Regional Cooperative Agreement (RCA), established under the aegis of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), promotes peaceful applications of nuclear science and technology for sustainable socio-economic development across the region. In 2026, India assumes the Chairmanship of RCA. As a founding member of the Agreement and a long-standing contributor to regional cooperation, India’s engagement with RCA reflects decades of scientific collaboration, capacity building, and developmental partnership.

48th National Representatives Meeting

DAE Hosts the 48th NRM

The 48th National Representatives Meeting (NRM) of RCA will be hosted by the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, in Navi Mumbai during May 2026. The meeting will bring together representatives, experts, institutions, RCARO, and IAEA officials to review RCA programme implementation, discuss future collaborative initiatives, and strengthen regional cooperation. The technical visit for delegates is proposed at ACTREC, Kharghar.
